Setup and help
Set up your cohort's workspace
Swapper helps a private cohort collect preferences and agree allocation exchanges. Your official allocation process happens elsewhere.
Start with the demo
Explore the synthetic demo without an account. It shows private ranked preferences, privacy-safe demand and examples of two-, three- and four-person exchanges. Every participant and allocation in it is fictional.
If you are organising a cohort
- Sign in with an email link, then create a workspace. Choose a generic configuration or adapt the independent placement template.
- Set the options, capacities, dates and privacy rules. Review them in setup before opening preference collection. Workspaces currently support up to 150 members.
- Share the private invitation with the people who belong to the cohort. Members sign in and join themselves. Treat invitation links as private.
- Open preference collection. Each member saves their own ranking; cohort demand appears only when the configured privacy threshold is met. Lock preferences when collection ends.
- Once official allocations have happened, confirm or import assignments for existing members and open the swap market. Members separately confirm destinations they would accept.
- Review any matching proposal. Everyone must accept the same proposal, followed by the configured administrator approval and any required external approval before completion.
Setup offers editable dates and terminology. Swapper does not decide institutional rules or obtain official permission on your behalf.
If you are joining a cohort
Open the invitation your workspace administrator shared, sign in, and join. A private workspace cannot be found through a public search. Ask your administrator for access or a replacement invitation.
Your original ranking is never permission to swap. Confirm your acceptable destinations separately, then decide whether to accept your exact proposal. Until everyone accepts, you see only your own proposed move.
Support and data requests
For invitations, options, deadlines, allocation corrections or workspace data deletion, contact your workspace owner. You can revoke your sign-in sessions from your dashboard.
For a product problem, use Hector's existing contact page. Describe the issue without sending private rankings, personal justifications, invitation links or sign-in links.
Read the Privacy information and Terms before starting. Do not submit sensitive personal information or reasons for your preferences.
